An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Maintenance Scheduler to join the Engineering team in our Blayney Factory. Maintenance Scheduler is responsible to ensure that all maintenance activities are scheduled and performed in an optimized way, considering all the potential constraints, like available manpower, production schedule, availability of tools and equipment and spare parts, as well as the corresponding prioritization of activities. 

 

A day in the life…


Reporting to the Site Engineering Services Manager and being the main contact for all maintenance activities, key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Support with data in building the maintenance budget (zero base), supported with the foreseen scheduled maintenance in each asset, in line with Guidelines.
  • Compile in advance shutdown and Project plans to enable efficient and effective shut down management.
  • Creating and maintaining schedules for 4 weeks ahead, for preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, including inspections, servicing, and repairs.
  • Actively manage work order backlog to optimal 4–8-week level, for all areas, Wet Plant, Dry Plant, Logistics, Industrial Services, Administrative Areas and Pet Care Centre.
  • Liaise with Technical Store and assist in ensuring all parts and components are available for planned work ready for scheduling.
  • Coordinating the allocation of resources such as labour, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient execution of maintenance work.

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong professional with a drive to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Engineering degree or advanced trade qualifications.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a technical field, preferably food manufacturing or consumer goods industry (as Technician, Engineering Supervisor, maintenance Engineer, or other similar position)
  • Previous experience in planning and coordination of maintenance activities, considering production schedule and other standard activities related to maintenance planning (budget, safety permits, coordination with other operational areas, tracking of maintenance KPI's, etc).
  • Exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning techniques and maintenance execution.
  • Participation in the start-up of technical equipment and/or production lines.
  • Self-Management following defined KPIs/Objectives and proactively tracking them.
  • Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and a proven capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality.
  • Experience with CMMS systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office suite of programs.
