An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Manufacturing Excellence (ME) Coordinator to join our Blayney Factory. In this role, the ME Coordinator will support factory focused improvement agenda through driving zero loss initiatives (variable labour, material losses). 


Activity includes data analysis, training and coaching for competency build as well as participating in and leading focussed improvement project teams.


A day in the life…


Reporting to the ME Manager and supporting competency building in TPM methodologies to drive loss elimination, other key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Support the roll out of Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) and TPM methodology across the factory.
  • Coach teams by motivating and empowering people to apply TPM methodologies/tools.
  • Promote and support sharing of ideas, knowledge, standards and improvements along with the integration of NCE/TPM into the functions. 
  • Ensure an overall understanding of the different TPM methodologies and how they integrate through the Factory TPM Implementation Plan to deliver the improved results.
  • Assist with the analysis of performance losses and variances and follow up as to causes of deviation. Conduct studies, make recommendations for improvement as required. 
  • Lead & Coach structured problem-solving projects (BDA, GSTD, DMAIC, SMED)  to reduce losses on site.
  • Provide training to line operators and managers on Factory Systems and Tools and on their application. 
  • Ensure that factory systems and tools (DMO, CST, Power BI) are developed, updated and communicated as required. Manage manufacturing standards and master recipes.
  • Track results of improvement initiatives. Provide weekly, monthly factory performance reports and focus issues as required. Ensure relevant.
  • Conduct feasibility for new product development/ new line and perform capacity and line utilization study. 
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's Health, Safety and Environment systems, policies and procedures.

  • Enjoy working within cross-functional teams in a dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge in food manufacturing or degree/diploma in Food Science or Engineering.
  • Relevant work experience either during or after studies.
  • Good attitude to work and strong ability to have positive interactions with people.
  • Ability to train and coach continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Critical thinking and data analysis.
  • Skill in digital tool e.g., PowerBI and Power APP would be beneficial.
