Position Summary

Based in Blayney, the Purina PetCare factory produces health and food products for pets. As the Manufacturing Excellence Manager you will drive the Factory towards World-Class Manufacturing Excellence by leveraging Best Practice Continuous Improvement tools and key manufacturing initiatives such as TPM and Lean to contribute to excellent E2E business results in a continuous and sustainable manner.

A day in the life of...

On a daily basis the Manufacturing excellence manager supports all levels of the business to adopt a world best practice continuous improvement culture. On the front line the goal is to understand issues that are preventing world class performance such as competence building and standard  routines and to work with supervision and management to help work groups to close gaps. At the management level, it means ensuring systems are in place to build a sustainable continuous improvement culture using Nestle Continuous Excellence tools which are based on Japanese methodologies of Lean and TPM. The Manufacturing Exellence Manager takes a strategic long term approach to the culture change while also identifying and driving improvement projects through a cycle of focussed improvement.

What will make you successful

      •  
  • 5 years plus experience in manufacturing
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a continuous improvement role
  • Good people skills
  • Self starter
  • Natural leader
  • Knowledge of Japanese continuous improvement systems, TPM and Lean
