Opportunity currently exists for a Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Coordinator to join the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) team in our Blayney Factory. This role will lead improvement in Safety, Health and the Environment, driving toward zero harm and be a lead coaching resource to factory teams.

 

A day in the life…

 

Reporting to the SHE Manager, key responsibilities include but not limited to: 

 

  • Lead the SHE pillar to deliver step change improvements in key measurables of Occupational Health and Safety as well as Environment.
  • Responsible for routines and methodology to analyse SHE loss data (injury, incident, waste streams) to identify priority focus activity and methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to all company principles, policies and requirements related to SHE, including NCE, TPM, LEAN, NEMS & NOSMA.
  • Ensure compliance with SHE-related legal requirements, supported through a local network including authorities, other factories.
  • Responsible for implementation, control, maintenance and improvement of the Factory SHE Management systems including achieving and maintaining ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certification.
  • Coordinate the site internal audit program related to Safety Management System.
  • Responsible for the Factory's SHE risk assessment program, including assessment, incident investigation, corrective action and auditing, as well as ensuring a focus on CTF/BBS and culture. Deliver training to build capability in RA.
  • Responsible to deliver effective training and coaching program, driving the necessary focus and improvement in SHE activities.Provide initial injury management support in line with Nestle Injury Management System and liaise with the site
  • Injury Management lead, ensuring Nestlé injury management standards are implemented.

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong leader with a drive to deliver desired outcomes.
  • 3+  years’ experience in an OH&S role and execution of health management activities.
  • Hold formal qualifications in health and safety.
  • Completion of Return-to-Work Coordinators Course / Cert IV Assessment & Workplace Training - preferred
  • Experienced in conducting effective training sessions for small groups.
  • Experience leading change projects to improve performance.
  • Participating in audit teams and/or improvement projects with more senior staff members.
  • Developed communication and a proven capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of health and safety.
