An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Site Engineering Services Manager to join the Engineering team in our Blayney Factory. This role will lead the planning, scheduling, reliability, and technical stores functions that underpin safe, efficient, and reliable factory performance. This is an opportunity to influence engineering strategy, drive continuous improvement, develop technical capability, and ensure our assets deliver sustainable performance for years to come.
A day in the life…
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with other factory teams, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping maintenance excellence, optimising costs, improving reliability, and building a high-performing team. Other key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading and developing the Site Engineering Services team, including planners, schedulers, reliability specialists and technical stores personnel.
- Driving maintenance excellence through preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, robust planning and scheduling processes and effective spare parts management.
- Improving factory performance through reliability initiatives, technical problem-solving and continuous improvement programs that reduce losses and improve asset performance.
- Managing maintenance and industrial services budgets, identifying optimisation opportunities while maintaining asset integrity and operational reliability.
- Overseeing site engineering service contracts and ensuring strong performance from external service providers.
- Championing engineering, safety and quality standards, including ownership and continuous improvement of key engineering processes such as Permit to Work.
- Managing the technical store, training centre and workshop facilities to ensure they continue to support operational and engineering excellence across the site.
- Building a strong engineering culture by coaching, mentoring and developing technical capability across both engineering and operations teams.
What will make you successful
- Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong leader with a drive to deliver quality outcomes.
- Engineering degree or advanced trade qualifications.
- Proven experience in engineering and maintenance leadership within a manufacturing, food manufacturing, FMCG, industrial or similar operational environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, contractors and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, reliability engineering, preventive maintenance and asset management principles.
- Experience managing maintenance budgets, identifying efficiency opportunities and balancing cost optimisation with operational reliability.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and technical insights to drive performance improvements.
- Experience with TPM, continuous improvement, planned maintenance systems or reliability-centred maintenance methodologies will be highly regarded.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence, coach and develop high-performing teams.
