Position Summary

Based at the Nestle Purina Blayney site and reporting to the Factory Supply Chain Manager,

we are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our warehousing team & drive the strategic direction of supply chain.

Join our rapidly expanding domestic & export Petcare business to excel in safe and efficient warehousing including transportation of packaging,

raw materials and finished goods across Internal & external network.

A day in the life of...
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Defines and drives logistics improvement strategy for the site aligned to regional Supply Chain & Technical master plans
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing and annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, initiating coorective actions
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, conouselling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

  • You will have excellent people management skills, with a continuous improvement mind set and demonstrable experince in leading and engaging a team to motivate and enhance performance
  • Passionate results focused individual who engjoys working in a fast paced & dynamic environment, with ability to multi-task on changing priorities day to day
  • You will not be afraid to give constructive feedback when necessary and will hold people accountable to the Nestle behavioural standards. You will have a history of improving ebsenteesim and performance
  • 5 + years' experience in a leadership role, preferably manufacturing or warehousing environment
  • Ideally FMCG industry production experience with SAP & MS Office competencies
  • Relevant qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of WHS standards and application
  • You will demonstrate strong communiction, negotiation, problem solving, analysis and decision-making abilities
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
