The Lead Porter is responsible for leading and coordinating the Porter Team in daily activities. They are responsible for ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) are in effect, assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates and organizes the Master Sanitation list, delegating tasks as needed
- Cleans offices, hallways, lobby, break room, restrooms, corridors and other work areas
- Empties trash containers and transports the waste to disposal areas
- Replenishes bathroom and break room supplies
- May perform light maintenance
- Assists in training new and current associates
- Ensures all team members maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Guides the department in the absence of the Supervisor
- Ensures all Porter Team members follow all SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements and procedures
- Performs all other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE:
- Prior Porter experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse environment required
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred
SKILLS:
- Basic mathematical skills
- Must be able to respond to and follow verbal/written instructions
- High level of organizational skills
- Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities

- Exhibit positive attitude regarding work and responsibilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within teams
- Ability to maintain effectiveness during major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, bend, within in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish)
