Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Lead Porter to join our team. The Lead Porter will be responsible for leading and coordinating the Porter Team in daily activities, ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) are followed, and maintaining the quality and quantity of products produced.

 

Schedule:

2nd shift - 3pm to 11:30pm

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and organize the Master Sanitation list, delegating tasks as needed.
  • Clean offices, hallways, lobby, break room, restrooms, corridors, and other work areas.
  • Empty trash containers and transport waste to disposal areas.
  • Replenish bathroom and break room supplies.
  • Perform light maintenance as needed.
  • Assist in training new and current associates.
  • Ensure all team members maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Guide the department in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • Ensure all Porter Team members follow all SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements, and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Prior Porter experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse environment required.

Skills:

  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to respond to and follow verbal/written instructions.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.

  • Exhibit a positive attitude regarding work and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within teams.
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness during major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.

Physical Demands:

  • Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, bend, within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).
