Summary:

Under the guidance of the Manager or Supervisor, the Lead Quality Assurance Floor Inspector plays a crucial role in supporting daily operations. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), thereby guaranteeing the quality and quantity of the products manufactured.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Department Management: Oversee department activities in the absence of the supervisor or manager.
  • Quality Issue Resolution: Address and resolve quality concerns on the manufacturing and packaging floors.
  • Production Planning: Organize and schedule the production tasks for the shift team.
  • Training & Coaching: Educate team members and cross-functional teams on quality guidelines.
  • Pre Start-Up Inspections: Perform initial inspections, verify documentation, and authorize the start of production runs.
  • In-Process Sampling: Conduct sampling and physical testing of products, ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
  • SOP & cGMP Compliance: Assist in training and ensure adherence to SOPs, GDPs, and cGMPs.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow company policies and procedures, maintaining consistent work attendance.
  • Safety & Compliance: Take personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs, and cGMP guidelines.
  • Work Environment: Foster a positive work environment in line with company policies.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

 

Experience and Education Requirments:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Prior quality assurance experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment required
  • Leadership skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc… within a manufacturing environment
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment (accuracy, timeliness, reliability, adaptability, and responsiveness)
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 software (Power point, Microsoft office, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience working with computer software such as AS400, Oracle PLM, SAP, etc.
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders and allergens (peanuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish)
