As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for maximizing equipment reliability and plant performance through effective maintenance planning and scheduling. You will manage the maintenance system, coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities, and ensure the availability of parts, resources, and labor needed to execute maintenance plans successfully.
Working closely with Production, Technical Stores, and Maintenance teams, you will align maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize downtime and support operational excellence. You will also provide guidance to Electro-Mechanical Technicians, foster strong communication across teams, and proactively identify and escalate issues to ensure safe, efficient operations.
- Manage the SAP maintenance system, from establishing equipment to cost reporting.
- Manage preventative maintenance system and Planning and Scheduling KSR. Includes editing and creating new PMs.
- Gathers information needed to effectively plan maintenance tasks and coordinate equipment downtime with production. Help prioritize and escalate critical works as necessary.
- Incorporate Predictive Maintenance routines into the Planning and Scheduling KSR and AMM system.
- Coordinate outside contractor support necessary for facility’s maintenance.
- Publish weekly maintenance schedule.
- Master Data entry and FLOC Creation within AMM.
- Monitor Workorder Completion, Backlog, and Schedule Compliance to ensure health of maintenance systems.
- Drive continuous improvement projects related to maintenance as assigned by working with operations and engineering alike.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience.
- Strong understanding of mechanical processes, equipment and electrical system.
- Must have continuous improvement mindset.
- Familiar with or Maintenance Improvement methodologies; prior experience working with site/Corporate Engineers.
- Open to new methods and opportunities.
- Detail oriented individual who accurately records information.
- 3 years' experience in a Manufacturing, Maintenance, & Engineering environment required.
- Experience as a Maintenance Planner preferred, including effective planning and coordination of maintenance activities, taking into account production schedule and or standard activities related to maintenance planning (budget, safety permits, coordination with operational areas, tracking of maintenance KPI's, etc).
- Preferably exposure to maintenance planning techniques and maintenance execution.
- Participation in coordination and planning of maintenance activities, taking into account SHE, food safety and or constrains in order to optimize coordination of all maintenance activities.
- Food Industry experience preferred.
- Experience with CMMS system (SAP, Maximo, MP2, MLS, etc).
- 3 years experience working as a mechanic or in a hands on capacity a plus.
Salary: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
Bonus Eligibility: Yes
The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
