What to Expect:

 

Our ten-week internship allows you to lead a business project from start to finish and gain experience outside of the classroom.  You apply the analytical and technical knowledge gained in the classroom in a real-world setting supporting the Nestlé Health Science Engineering team.  During the internship, you will focus on an engineering project that requires a new perspective to deliver results against our immediate and future business needs. The experience requires collaborating with team members from different business divisions, networking with cross-functional employees, and participating in social engagements with interns from other programs.  Additional activities are planned to provide insights into day-to-day life at Nestlé.  You will have the opportunity to present your project findings at the end of the internship to functional team members.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Engineering Leadership to help establish priorities, schedules, and deadlines for tasks
  • Assist engineering team in tracking deliverables for existin projects / Assist in defining deliverables for new requests, managing budgets, schedules, and resources
  • Schedule, coordinate and document meetings with action items, next steps, follow ups, and reporting project status to stakeholders and supervisors
  • Schedule meetings and appointments, conducting research, collecting data, compiling reports, and summarizing information
  • Assisting in management of projects from beginning to end, including drafting proposals, creating spreadsheets, researching, and selecting images, contacting vendors, and overseeing production and delivery
  • Analyzing project feasibility and risks to develop contingency plans
  • Conducting research and making recommendations based on findings
  • QA - Reviewing work for accuracy and checking against requirements/feedback
  • Assist with the creation of and proofing on product documentation (FAT, IOQs, ICC, SOPs, OPIs)
  • Respond to miscellaneous design requests
  • File management - set up folder structure, track and manage file transferring between project teams

 

Experience Requirements:

  • Previous engineering internship experience preffered
  • Leadership experience through, but not limited to, an extra-curricular activity, organization, club sports team, or employment

 

Skills:

  • Have proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, MS Project, Sharepoint
  • Previous research experience, preferred
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and ability to utilize basic excel functions
  • Self-starters who are results-oriented, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious and who take initiative and risks
  • Excellent communicators (both written and verbal) who encourage others and excel in a team environment
  • Ability to learn quickly, embrace change, and thrive in a fast-faced environment

 

Education Requirements:

 

  • Currently pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Process or related field, preferred
  • GPA of 3.00 and above, preferred
     

Additional Requirements:

 

  • Available for a 10-week internship in Summer 2023
