Location: This position is based on Bohemia, NY and is expected to be onsite in the office 5 days a week.

 

Position Summary:

The Director is responsible for managing the supply planning function for the VMHS franchise in support of brand, commercial and operational requirements thru multiple internal/external manufacturing & packaging sites.  This role provides support and identifying and implementing continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity, support projects and drive to overall KPI achievements as inventory goals, service levels and sales achievements.  This position requires a strong, collaborative presence as liaison with various functional areas to address technical and business process related challenges and opportunities.

 

Job Responsibilities:

•    Directs the supply planning for the multiple packaging sites supporting the VMHS franchise in the forms of tablets, softgels, capsules and liquids.
•    Manages supply planning for multiple sites such as Grundy, 90 Packaging and coman/copack partners for the form types.
•    The primary contact for the business as the authority in execution of commercial and demand plans; NPI, promotions, displays, distribution expansion
•    Owns full responsibility to deliver KPI as Sales, Service Levels and Inventory targets
•    Implement and maintains MRP parameters settings to direct the tactical level of supply planning to meet the production & service level requirements
•    Evolves and maintains documentation and standard operating procedures for planning processes and systems and ensures that these are being followed by the staff. 
•    Coordinate efforts with partners throughout the supply chain and commercial business to achieve global plans.
•    Attend monthly category S&OP meetings and report out on KPI’s.
•    Proactively partner with production and channel teams to report product and material availability issues.
•    Lead or support global supply chain improvement projects and execute supply chain policies/strategies set by senior leadership.
•    Key participant in forecast and inventory planning meetings with marketing, sales, and supply chain managers, reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals.
•    Performs other related duties, as assigned or requested.

Experience and Education:

•    10+ years relevant experience in supply chain, with 5+ years leading supply planning / S&OP operational tactical strategic activities 
•    Knowledge and experience with planning tools (i.e. JDA, Oracle, SAP, Etc.). 

•    Knowledge and experience with business intelligence tools/applications is beneficial. 
•    In depth knowledge of MS Excel is required; including knowledge of formulas & AS400 preferred.

•    Bachelor’s degree preferred, or other closely related discipline with experience can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

•    Strong strategic thinking capabilities
•    Strong analytical skills with ability to quickly identify and assess problems and develop solutions, leveraging quantitative modeling, BI, and KPI development
•    Proficient with PC Programs (Word, Excel, PPT), with advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., using formulas) and PPT to create dynamic presentations
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective executive presentations and influence others within and outside of the designated network
•    Ability to lead and work as effective team member in a matrix environment
•    Self-motivated, proactive and results oriented, with ability to work in fast moving dynamic environment
•    Act as a servant leader with ability to lead remote teams
•    Broad business knowledge with ability to understand impacts within and outside of Supply Chain

The approximate pay range for this position is $170,000 to $185,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
