As a Factory Manager, you will take charge of plant operations, driving improvements in products, processes, and cost savings. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the plant's strategy and goals, ensuring operational success, and fostering a high-performing organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Responsibility for plant operations, driving performance, and achieving cost savings while improving products, processes, and efficiencies.
• Ensuring operational success aligned with the strategic plan, focusing on safety, quality, sustainability, cost, productivity, and customer service.
• Collaborating with the site leadership team to drive operational results and achieve key performance indicators on the Plant Scorecard.
• Fostering a high-performing organization through the implementation and improvement of Nestlé Continuous Excellence systems.
• Providing coaching to plant leadership team members, floor leaders, and operating floor associates to establish high-performing work systems.
• Building an effective leadership team with a sense of urgency and cross-functional collaboration to drive results.
• Creating systems and processes that develop competence across all levels, encompassing leadership and technical skills.
• Cultivating a culture of ownership, trust, openness, and consistent superior results.
• Benchmarking successful operations and incorporate learnings into the operation.
• Collaborating with other functions within Operations and the company to drive an effective business.
• Conducting root cause analysis and execute corrective actions proactively to improve process stability and reduce waste.
• Assessing and develop talent, coach the team, and address issues to build a high-performing Site Leadership Team.
• Maintaining full financial accountability for the site, ensuring budget alignment with savings and cost targets.
Education & Experience:
• 8 years of management experience, preferred in CPG, consumer health, or pharma industries
• Management experience at a “facility-wide” level for a medium sized facility or for a unit within a large sized facility is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, engineering is preferred
• Military experience is a plus
• Advanced PC skills that encompass Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP applications required
• A substantial technical background, evidenced by academic credentials and professional experience
• Superior working knowledge of TPM, OEE and Lean and the ability to utilize these tools to create and operate a high performing organization
• Significant contribution to tactical and strategic initiatives, like capital programs and cost savings initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to handle large scale change like in a startup or turnaround situation
• Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple levels and functions, including Safety, Quality, Maintenance/Engineering, Finance, Inventory Control, Scheduling, Procurement, Planning and Human Resources
• Proven ability to build organizational capabilities and develop people. Provided personal, hands-on coaching of team leaders and operating floor associates to develop ownership and foster engagement. While creating an environment of trust and openness, developed, and sustained high performance team(s) that consistently delivered superior results
• Must demonstrate a good understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations (cGMP) and OSHA regulations with an appreciation for what are generally considered to be current best practices in the industry
The approximate pay range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
