Job Description:
The Human Resources Generalist will support the full scope of HR responsibilities and day-to-day activities including HR initiatives, associate relations/engagement, recruitment support, performance management, team development, benefits/payroll/compensation functionality, and ensuring adherence to company's policies and procedures. We are poised for growth and the focus of this role will be to provide support to site HR and the Corporate Supply Chain business units including Quality, Engineering and Technical & Production. This role will work onsite at one of our Nestle Health Science Hub offices based in either Bohemia, New York (preferred) or Bridgewater, New Jersey - 5 days a week (Monday to Friday – standard business hours).
Responsibilities:
• Support implementation and sustainment of Nestle Health Science’s Supply Chain HPO vision via organizational development action plans.
• Advise management in areas of employment law, policies and regulations.
• Navigate ambiguous/complex/sensitive issues and promote conflict resolution.
• Conduct investigations and appropriately document employee relations issues regarding employment practices.
• Collaborate on the sourcing and recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt positions.
• Support performance management process by fully communicating information and providing training, coordination and follow up when necessary.
• Direct and maintain various activities designed to promote and maintain a high level of employee morale.
• Promote a culture of inclusion and engagement.
• Ensure compliance of state and federal regulations related to employment such as FLSA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, etc.
• Gain trust by maintaining confidential information and level of professionalism while minimizing company risk.
• Contribute to overall achievement by accomplishing related tasks and demonstrating characteristics that exemplify team building and support.
• Perform additional duties, tasks or special projects as assigned by the Senior HR Manager.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, I/O Psychology or in a related field required.
• 3+ years of full cycle professional HR experience required (equivalent combination of education and work experience - i.e. High School Diploma and 5+ years of full cycle HR expeirence - will be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required.
• Proven understanding of being a strategic business partner.
• Willing and able to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, presentation and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to build and maintain cross-functional stakeholder relationships).
• Ability to multi-task, follow-up and prioritize the needs of the business groups is required.
• Able to maintain confidential information and follow up on commitments.
• Adept at making sound decisions based on relevant data.
• Open to receive and provide feedback to enhance performance.
• Flexibility with work hours may be required from time-to-time
• Experience working with CRM systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors and/or Concur a plus.
• Willing and able to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the team and the business.
The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
