Position Summary:

 

Are you a tech-savvy individual passionate about maintaining computer systems' reliability and functionality? Join us as an IT Operations Specialist! In this role, you will ensure smooth operation of our in-house computer hardware, software, network, and communication systems, supporting our packaging facility and administrative operations. Responsibilities include installation, configuration, development, maintenance, and documentation of our software, databases, and reporting systems. You will also contribute to implementing new software and hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Working knowledge of the production process within the factory and its relationship to the underlying IT systems.
  • Maintain reliability and continuously improve factory floor solutions to support the goals and objectives of Packaging operations.
  • Install, configure, performance tune, administer, and troubleshoot all in-house computer-related hardware, software, databases, networks, communication, and multimedia systems.
  • Support the factory in delivering company data backup, disaster recovery, software licensing, compliance, security, and authorization policies.
  • Provide technical support (Tier I and II) for existing factory computer-related hardware, factory floor data collection systems, and business information systems.
  • Understand change management in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
  • Have working knowledge and experience with firewalls, routers, SD-WAN, VPNs, layer-2 switches, wireless access points, and DNS/DHCP servers.
  • Managing site IT Infrastructure hardware/software inventory in accordance with Nestle lifecycle policies and practices.
  • Manage Active Directory, domain management, user accounts, authentication, and authorization using Organizational Units and Global Policies.
  • Work with all levels of factory personnel to provide service and direction on the correct process to resolve internal factory requests related to IT/OT systems.
  • Support the coordination, collaboration, and communication with key stakeholders regarding IT solution issues/outages impacting production processes until resolution. Analyze, develop, document, and maintain necessary in-house information and data collection systems.
  • Provide demand-based off-hours technical support in alignment with factory off-hours support requirements.
  • Partner with the Factory Leadership Team and local engineers to plan and coordinate the local implementation of new and enhanced factory software.
  • Develop and maintain technological skill sets related to plant computer systems operation.
  • Utilize and promote Agile ways of working.

 
Experience and Education Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of related experience OR 
  • 2-year technical degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Computer Technology, or equivalent experience and 3+ years of related experience

Knowledge in three (3) or more of the following areas:

  • Various personal computer (laptops) and peripheral hardware (printers, copiers, scanners, smartboards, tablets/iPads, etc.)
  • Local Area Network (LAN) operations, including Cisco IOS, switches, cables, routers, and access points
  • Windows operating systems (Servers / PCs)
  • Familiarity with office and business information technology (Microsoft Office 365)
  • Familiarity with database design and query
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SCADA, and/or PLCs
  • Infrastructure Automation, PowerShell, and Cloud Computing

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $86,000.00 to $105,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
