Position Summary:
Are you a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor with a passion for training and developing personnel, fostering teamwork, and driving departmental performance? Look no further! Join our dynamic, innovative, and collaborative team where you will coordinate packaging equipment maintenance, manage budget-friendly supply purchases, implement procedural enhancements, support new equipment installations and product introductions and enforce safety policies. We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor with a proven track record and technical expertise to lead a talented team of 12 individuals.
Please Note: This is an overnight work scheduled and work week is Sunday - Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for training, developing, and fostering a teamwork environment among personnel.
- Hands-on Supervisor who can step in as needed and work tactically and strategically to improve the maintenance department.
- Coordinates equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance activities, and equipment purchases with the Maintenance Planner while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Ensures compliance with GMP and SOP regulations.
- Implements procedural and policy changes to enhance department performance.
- Provides support for new equipment installations and new product introductions as required.
- Enforces safety policies and promotes safe work habits.
- Maintains a 5-S and organized maintenance shop on their shift.
- Supports special projects as required.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory position within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Maintenance Lead or in a supervisory position within a manufacturing environment.
- A 2-year technical degree is preferred, or equivalent work-related experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs.
- Skilled in developing and mentoring teams, with a proactive approach to holding individuals accountable.
- Possesses a high level of mechanical and electrical knowledge, particularly in relation to packaging.
- Familiarity with project management is considered a valuable asset.
- Experience with Permethius, CMMS, and SAP systems is a plus.
- Demonstrates strong system savviness, consistently completing work orders on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of cGMPs, with preferred experience in the food/beverage, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability and technical aptitude within a manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Experience in project leadership roles for equipment and facilities improvements.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Action-oriented and results-driven, demonstrating initiative, and a sense of urgency.
The approximate pay range for this position is $85,000.00 to $95,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
