Position Summary:
As the Facilities Manager you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, interior and exterior of the building for a multi-site campus. This includes janitorial, maintenance of facility assets, compliance with codes and regulations, record keeping, and tracking of expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and develop facilities Mechanics, Porters, and Sanitation Supervisor
- Ensuring that facilities and industrial services area meet government regulations and environmental, health, safety and security standards, as part of the Nestle Engineering compliance standards
- Work with contractors in a daily basis on projects/maintenance
- Partner with site(s) SH&E Manager to maintain compliance with air permits, wastewater, and Life Safety equipment.
- Use CMMS system to manage work orders, generate productivity reports, analyze, and implement improvements
- Manage and recommend facility related CAPEX projects such as HVAC replacement, building controls and energy efficiency.
- Ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health, safety, and security standards
- Perform daily and weekly inspections of the facilities to ensure proper operations
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to facility operations to reduce costs, maximize equipment uptime, increase energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Promote a continuous improvement culture within the department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education Requirements:
- 5 plus years Facilities Maintenance experience in a leadership capacility
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering field preferred or significant facilities maintenance experience in lieu of degree
- Familiar with Building Codes, Safety Programs, and GMP requirements
- Prior Capitol Project Planning experience
- Working knowledge of Boilers, HVAC units, Chillers, Electrical system, plumbing and compressors strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Permit to Work programs, Risk analysis, and Safe Work instructions
- Ability to read and execute projects from blueprints and drawings
- Experience working with CMMS and BMS systems preferred
