Position Summary:
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting our Business Units. Your extensive knowledge and expertise in quality will be highly valued as you attend Daily Operational Review (DOR) meetings and contribute to Local Management of Change (MOC) initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met and maintained, actively participating in the implementation of our Quality Monitoring System (QMS), and conducting non-conformance investigations.
In addition to these responsibilities, as a Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to drive continuous improvement and excellence throughout the quality team and our factory. Key Responsibilities:
Quality:
- Follow factory food safety and quality objectives and targets.
- Adhere to Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices and promptly report any food safety and quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and refer to the Nestle Quality Management System for procedures and programs.
- Understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated in the QMS, OJT's, and SOP's.
- Support Business Units and QA specialists by attending the Business Unit Daily Operational Review as needed.
- Participate in investigations to address issues impacting Quality KPIs under the guidance of Senior QA specialists and Site QA manager.
- Support training for key business unit team members to ensure proper knowledge base.
- Assist in the annual QMS review to align documentation with practices.
- Support and update quality procedures, work instructions, and tools for the Business Unit.
- Ensure compliance and audit readiness for Management of Change (MOC) at the Business Unit level.
- Collaborate with the QA leadership team to support operational objectives.
- Prepare Business Unit for internal and external audits.
- Notify appropriate production personnel/management of deviations, non-conformances, and blocked product.
- Support Production in achieving their objectives and promote quality awareness and commitment.
- Contribute to Nestle Continuous Excellence program and compliance with Quality Management System requirements.
- Identify non-conformance issues, participate in Quality/Food Safety risk analysis, and support investigations for proper product disposition.
- Provide support to other quality systems within the plant as assigned.
Safety and Environmental:
- Follow factory safety and environmental objectives and targets.
- Adhere to plant safety rules and promptly report incidents and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain compliance with regulations and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) for procedures and programs.
- Understand the environmental aspects of the position and take action to reduce environmental impacts.
- Conserve resources such as paper, electricity, and water.
- Recycle appropriate materials (paper, plastic, food, etc.).
Experience & Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a closely related natural science discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of related Quality experience within a manufacturing or production environment will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience within manufacturing or production operations strong preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of quality standards/regulations, quality management systems, and cGMP documentation. Additionally, you should possess the ability to effectively teach and train team members.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with other functions
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with data management and analytics
- Results-oriented
- Experience supporting, managing and leading project management
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications strongly preferred.
- Continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency and quality while maintaining high standards.
- Creativity and intellectual curiosity are valued, as the candidate should be willing to explore different and innovative approaches to overcome obstacles.

The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
