Position Summary:
The Quality Specialist is tasked with the responsibility of requesting and gathering essential documentation and certificates from suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors, including but not limited to Kosher, Halal, gluten-free (GF), Organic, Vegan, and Non-GMO certifications. They work in collaboration with certifying agencies to verify and approve labels, collect certification documents and technical data, and compile documentation for NSF Contents Certified, gluten-free products, and QCS organic certifications, among others. Furthermore, they offer support in Change Control processes.      

 

Location: This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate’s geographic location. Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, NJ, Chicago, IL, Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Long Island, NY. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Request and collect documentation and certificates (Kosher, Halal, GF, Organic, Vegan, Non-GMO, etc.) from suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors.
• Collaborate and support requirements of certifying agencies (USP, NSF, QCS, etc.).
• Assist with verification, validation, and approval of labels.
• Support Non-Organic Ingredients by aligning with QCS Organic requirements and providing compliance documentation.
• Assist in gathering and completing the necessary forms from vendors.
• Assist in completing Change Control.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

 

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Appropriate experience within a manufacturing environment or other closely related discipline experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. 
• Familiar with FDA regulatory requirements and dietary supplements.  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results on time 
• Must be proficient with PC programs, i.e. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
• Good communication
• Documentation skills  
• Analytical thinking/ problem solving 
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems and processes

The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000.00 to $95,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
