Position Summary:

 

We are seeking a  Sr Financial Analyst is to support the business monthly forecasting and reporting process in a factory setting.  The Sr. Financial analyst is responsible for monthly reporting out of SAP BW, Essbase, Business Objects to support BPA managers cross functional team.  Additionally , the position  supports the  finance team with information required in the development of business analytics and financial reports utilized to support sound decision making in the Consumer Care and Medical Nutrition businesses.  This position is onsite in our Bohemia, NY office.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Partners with functional owners to build cost center budgets and analyzes actual spending & updates budget forecasts as needed
  • Performs monthly close journal entries for marketing spending, coupons, T&E accruals, etc.
  • Analyzes financial performance by monitoring trends and investigating variances of assigned P&L line items and business units
  • Creates and distributes timely & accurate monthly reports and scorecards
  • Continuously improves, re-evaluates accounting, and reporting activities to streamline controls and processes
  • Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations along with monitoring balances and providing management updates on all balances 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • 3+ years' experience in planning and reporting
  • Background in consumer products & manufacturing environment a plus

 

Skills:

 

  • Finance understanding, basic business acumen, analytical skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (focus on Excel) and SAP
  • Demonstrates appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them
  • Highly organized, detail & quality oriented, and quick learner
  • Analytical thinker with ability to conduct data analysis and resolve problems independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of cross-functional partners & customers

 

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000- $95,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
