Position Summary
We are looking for an Amazon Account Manager based at our Head Office in Brampton, Ontario reporting into the Global Customer Team Leader and dotted line to the Key Account Manager (Team Lead), Amazon. This role is responsible to drive sales profitability across the Health Science, Nutrition and Confectionery categories for Amazon, through effective sales execution of Nestlé Canada marketing and sales initiatives working closely with the Key Account Manager.
A day in the life of an Account Manager
- Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create and achieve the sales business plan for assigned categories by developing and implementing strategies through Amazon.ca, managing total trade spend and meeting joint business planning objectives.
- Joint Business Plan Participation: Support the development of the Joint Business Plan and provide input and feedback to maintain the acceleration and development of Amazon in Canada for the associated categories.
- Data-Driven Analysis: Analyze, identify, monitor, and address specific opportunities to develop winning commercial strategies, gain internal alignment and achieve Nestlé’s goals for e-commerce.
- External Relationship Management: Effectively manage external relationships, ensuring the agreed level of customer contact with SVS, Vendor Managers, and other external stakeholders as needed.
- Collaborate with Marketing Teams: Work with the eBusiness Shopper Marketing Team to maximize initiatives with Amazon Advertising Group (DEA, DSP, Amazon Search, Amazon Media) and optimize execution with Amazon Retail.
- Follow Best Practices: Adhere to Nestlé’s eCommerce digital best practices and collaborate with the Center of Marketing Excellence Team for best-in-class execution of PDP Content, Brand stores, Product listings, Variations, and A+ Content.
- Monitor and Manage Amazon Vendor Central: Oversee day-to-day activities through Amazon Vendor Central, including weekly orders, Brand Analytics raw data reporting, Operational Performance, and Case Log support.
What will make you successful?
- Completion of a university degree in Business Administration or any related field
- 4+ years within sales and account management, with a proven track record of delivering business results from a Consumer Goods Company
- Preferred knowledge of Amazon and its relevant tools, including:
- Demonstrated understanding of Amazon’s flywheel and relevant drivers.
- Fluid capability with Amazon Vendor Central and experience in managing multiple Vendor Codes/Child Vendor Codes.
- Understanding and ease of management of Amazon and digital marketing KPIs (Retail Analytics, Brand Analytics, Operational Performance, Amazon advertising analytics).
- Comfortable comprehension of Amazon Supply Chain Operations.
- Experience with Amazon Vendor Central
- Effective communication, negotiation and strong leadership skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers.
- Proficient in gathering data and storytelling to deliver actionable insights.
- Advanced computer skills, specifically with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and Power BI is an asset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent time and project management while paying attention to detail.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to think “out of the box” in an effort to secure incremental business opportunities.
- Solid hands-on experience in an analytical role, previous experience in a financial analysis/planning role an asset
