Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Bilingual Credit & Collections Analyst to join our team at the Brampton office, with a direct reporting line to the Credit Manager. In this dynamic position, you will play a vital role in executing AR collections, managing invalid deductions, and diligently implementing internal control procedures. Your primary focus will be on safeguarding receivables, optimizing cash flow, and proactively mitigating business risks, contributing significantly to the financial stability and success of the organization. This position is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life of a Bilingual Credit & Collections Analyst:
- Executes the credit policy and align customers to standard payment terms to support working capital.
- Identifies collection concerns and demonstrates effective risk reduction collection strategies and negotiation techniques.
- Proactively seek root causes of late payments and recommend process improvements to drive efficient and effective operational performance.
- Executes collection efforts for invalid non-trade customer disputes to minimize profit loss and improve working capital.
- Executes analysis and distribution of periodic reports related to performance service level agreements (SLA’s) and indicators of services (KPI's);
- Recommend action plans to correct deviations in services and initiative process improvement
- Executes identified business and internal controls of AR processes
- Participates in Lean/Continuous improvements projects related to productivity and /or cost reductions.
What will make you successful?
- Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market and/or worldwide.
- Post-secondary education in business or finance. Working towards an accounting designation is an asset.
- 2-3 years’ experience in Credit and Collections, preferably in the Food industry.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Experience using or knowledge of SAP.
- Knowledge/experience in process improvement and automation (ie. RPA) is a distinct advantage
- Self-starter, with the ability to prioritize workflow and operate independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
