Position Summary


Nestlé Canada is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to support and lead the day-to-day operations of the Inventory Control team within our warehousing and 3PL environment. This role is accountable for ensuring inventory accuracy, compliance with Nestlé standards, and real-time management of inventory movements across a high-volume, complex supply chain. The position plays a critical role in audit readiness, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across warehouse operations.

 

A day in the life of an Inventory Control Supervisor:


•    Supervise daily operations of the Inventory Control team and provide guidance, coaching, 
•    Ensure full compliance with Nestlé inventory, warehousing, QA, safety, and recall standards, SOPs, and global guidelines
•    Oversee inventory control for 2,700+ active SKUs.
•    Manage inventory accuracy, reconciliation, and system integrity, including timely resolution of IDOCs, discrepancies, and adjustments
•    Lead and support physical counts, annual audits, and inventory health checks, ensuring complete documentation and audit readiness
•    Ensure proper execution of inventory recall processes, blocked/restricted stock movements, and bad goods management
•    Maintain and update warehousing playbooks, SOPs, training records, and competency matrices
•    Develop and track inventory control KPIs, dashboards, and operational reporting to support performance management
•    Act as a backup to the Inventory Control Manager and support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE), Lean tools, and standardized work practices
•    Collaborate closely with internal teams (Operations, Customer Service, Demand & Supply Planning, Quality, SHE, Security) and 3PL partners.

 

What will make you successful?


•    Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or co-manufacturing inventory environments
•    University or college degree required.
•    Strong knowledge of inventory control processes, warehousing best practices, and stock management
•    Experience within supply chain, logistics, or distribution strongly preferred
•    Experience working with SAP (Materials Management)
•    Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
•    Strong understanding of audit processes and ISO standards (ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001)
•    Solid understanding of end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes and broader supply chain functions

 

Preferable Skills


•    Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, ensuring compliance and high performance 
•    Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset 
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities 
•    Clear, confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills 
•    Influences with integrity and demonstrates accountability and ownership

Compensation Range: $65,000 – $80,000 CAD
