What to Expect:  
We are looking for an Amazon Key Account Manager Team Lead based at our Head Office in Brampton, Ontario reporting into the Global Customer Team Leader. This role is responsible for leading the Amazon customer team internally and externally, with direct responsibility for driving sales profitability across the Coffee, Beverage, and Premium Waters categories.  
 
A Day in the Life: 
As a Key Account Manager (Team Lead), you will be working on our Amazon customer. This role is a great opportunity to grow and develop your leadership skills and Sales experience. You will be involved in strategic planning in line with the growth and success of all Nestle Foods categories sold at Amazon, and specifically accountable for the Coffee, Beverage and Premium Waters portfolio.  You will lead promotional activities, monitoring sales targets and forecasts, influencing full funnel strategies and executions, and collaborating cross functionally to develop and input to plans that influence our eCommerce and OMNI strategies at Amazon and in the marketplace. 
 
You will also be involved in the following:

  • Amazon Account Ambassador: Act as an ambassador both internally and externally for the Amazon account, communicating key strategies and initiatives, contributing to eCommerce plans, and shaping business strategies to accelerate our online digital plans across customers.
  • Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day coaching and leadership to the Amazon team, which includes 1.5 Account Managers, ensuring effective team performance and development.
  • Sales Business Plan Development: Develop and achieve the sales business plan for assigned categories by implementing e-commerce specific strategies through Amazon.ca, managing total trade spend by category, and meeting agreed joint business planning objectives.
  • Joint Business Plan Participation: Lead the development of the Joint Business Plan, ensuring internal alignment to maintain the acceleration and development of Amazon in Canada for all Nestlé categories.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Analyze, identify, monitor, and address specific opportunities to develop winning and compelling strategies to achieve Nestlé’s goals for e-commerce
  • External Relationship Management: Effectively manage external relationships, ensuring the agreed level of customer contact with SVS, Vendor Managers, and other external stakeholders as needed.
  • Collaboration and Best Practices: Collaborate with the eBusiness Shopper Marketing Team and the Centre of Marketing Excellence to maximize full funnel initiatives and amplify digital best practices and best-in-class execution of PDP Content, Brand stores, Product listings, Variations, and A+ Content.

 

Role Requirements:

As the successful candidate, you will be the champion for the brand throughout the organisation so you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You will already have great Sales and Account Management experience, coupled with your highly organised, dynamic approach. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as is your ability to understand and work within our competitive market.

 

  • Completion of a university degree in Business Administration or any related field
  • 5+ years within sales and account management, with a proven track record of delivering business results from a Consumer Goods Company
  • Demonstrated understanding of Amazon’s flywheel and relevant drivers. 
  • Fluid capability with Amazon Vendor Central and experience in managing multiple Vendor Codes/Child Vendor Codes.
  • Understanding and ease of management of Amazon and digital marketing KPIs (Retail Analytics, Brand Analytics, Operational Performance, Amazon advertising analytics).
  • Comfortable comprehension of Amazon Supply Chain Operations.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and Power BI.  Familiarity with Amazon Vendor Central considered an asset.
  • Ideal candidate would also have knowledge and understanding of Stackline and Nielsen IQ platforms.
  • Effective communication, negotiation and strong leadership skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers.
  • Proficient in gathering data and storytelling to deliver actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent time and project management while paying attention to detail.
  • Motivation as a self-starter with the ability to think “out of the box” in an effort to secure incremental business opportunities.
  • Solid hands-on experience in an analytical role, previous experience in a financial analysis/planning role an asset
