What to expect
We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Manager on-site 5 days per week based at our Brampton office. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the NCI corporate office facilities and the effective overall management of the relationships with our external partners such as 3rd party office & mailroom services and exceptional service to Nestle office employees ensuring healthy and pleasant workspace. In addition, this individual will also act as the key contact for Corporate Administration across NIM.
A day in the life as a Facilities Manager
- Health, Safety, Environment: Serve as Brampton Health & Safety lead and main point of contact for execution and communication of Health & Safety policy initiatives, including but not limited to: fire drills, quarterly JHSC meetings, timely documentation submission to Corporate, MoL, WSIB, WSPS, First Aid, CPR, AED certified; first responder; coordinate annual training/certification and recertification
- Oversee budget, administration and policies for office facility management at North York, Brampton, 5 Company Stores, 3rd party office and Mailroom Services, and Nestlé Corporate Fleet program
- Accountable for internal stakeholder relationships and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction
- Ensure effective administrative support provided for employee events which include retirement and service awards and special events
- Accountability over various key initiatives: Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Crisis Liaison for Canadian Business Travelers.
- Supervise 3rd party resources at Brampton site
- Main point of contact for Brampton Landlord and neighbours during emergencies
- Maintain operational knowledge of mechanical, lighting, plumbing, structural systems to support trouble shooting activities as necessary for Brampton sites
- High spatial awareness and ability to read building site plans and drawings
- Review, approve and manage facilities service vendor contracts and PM schedules in Brampton
- Respond appropriately to all emergencies or urgent issues in Brampton as they arise
- Schedule and support safety, surveillance and certification audits for Brampton site or delegate to team members as required
- Primary contact for all Brampton site related security issues (i.e.: intrusion) and site Business Continuity Plans
- Oversee office security and access pass administration for all office employees in Brampton
Role Requirements
- Minimum 5 years facility management experience or general management experience
- Completion of a University Degree with a focus on Finance & Control / Business Administration is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous people management experience required
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge on intermediate level of SAP
