Position Summary

We are looking for a O2C Customer Solutions Analyst – Trade Claims for Nestlé based at our Brampton location. You will be responsible to effectively analyze trade related claims within the Trade Management solution to ensure accurate spend against program budgets. Eliminate waste and complexity in the O2C Flow through the timely execution of agreed levels of service and delivering working capital KPI's.

A day in the life of...

Effective Management of Trade related claims 
•    Timely validation of Distributor and Operator invoices against deal documents to ensure promotional spending is authorized
•    Match and clear deductions against the appropriate promotions in the trade promotions management (TPM) system.
•    Match TPM credit memos against appropriate deductions within SAP
•    Accurately perform consistent evaluations of bill-backs and escalate invalid claims to Distributors
•    Match customer deductions against the appropriate promotions within the TPM application
•    Achievement of Nestlé Professional and/or customer deduction monthly targets
•    Development and execution of appropriate controls to ensure compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards

Effective Management of Trade Management tools to drive to Best Practice
•    Timely updates within Trade Spend and Contract Management (TSCM) including validation of contract expiry period
•    On-going maintenance of programs to minimize sku deviations, volume changes, and adjustment to contract rates
•    Audit TPM system inputs and collaborate with Sr. Financial Analyst to drive accurate Trade Spend accrual
•    Identify and drive process improvement for reducing administrative costs by streamlining processes and reducing deduction volume 
•    Provide insight to improve accuracy and efficiency of Trade Promotion Planning process

Internal Collaboration to ensure timely resolution of customer deductions
•    Effective collaboration with Nestlé Professional Financial Analyst to ensure annual spend targets are established for each program
•    Timely collaboration with Financial Analyst to ensure manual remaining accruals are consistent with program balance
•    Demonstrate effective communication with CoS collections and/or customers on outstanding unauthorized deductions. This includes understanding the process for requesting and collecting repayment of invalid trade deductions, identifying trends, and resolving issues that cause invalid trade deductions
•    Collaboration with Financial Analyst to perform close monitoring of prior year accruals to ensure timely settlement
•    Actively participate with internal and external stakeholders in dealing with, influencing or motivating the O2C collection and deduction resolution process
•    Timely escalation of any issues to the Sales Finance Manager (Co-pilot) with a recommendation for resolution

Process Optimization through the identification of non value added activities within Order to Cash
•    Timely collaboration with Market, CoC, and CoS to mitigate program management and exceptions which result in untimely resolution
•    Actively provide 360 Visibility on trade deduction status to customers and internal teams
•    Management of relationships with key stakeholders in the Market, CoC, and CoS to ensure quality in the processes are meeting business and system requirements
•    Drive continuous improvement within the team to a more efficient exception management process to meet and exceed all KPI's and SLA's
•    Accurately maintain working capital reporting requirements
•    Effective use of NCE tools, standards, and Best Practices
•    Identify gaps and opportunities in current processes using LEAN and FI tools
 

What will make you successful

•    Completion of University Degree in Finance or Business Administration working towards a recognized Accounting Designation (CPA or CFA).  
•    LEAN, Six Sigma or Focus Improvement Certification is a strong asset. 
•    Self-starter with strong analytical skills, the ability to prioritize workflow and operate independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
•    Bilingual French/English is an asset
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information in understandable terms at all levels of the organization.
•    Strong interpersonal skills as candidate is required to deal with people both individually and in groups to resolve conflicts. 
•    Professional and concise communication with key internal and external stakeholders
•    Ability to apply perspective, pragmatism and maintain composure under pressure
•    Project Management experience to support or lead projects
