Nestlé Canada is seeking a dynamic Regional Retail Sales Manager to join our team in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, or Greater Calgary, Alberta. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Commercial Enablement Leader and will be responsible for leading a dedicated retail sales team to achieve ambitious sales and merchandising goals across the Western Region.

A day in the life:
- Leadership of the Western Canada field retail sales team with the responsibility to engage, coach and develop a high performing sales field and support team.
- Work in field with Western Canada field retail sales approximately 25% of time creating relationships with customers within the region.
- Actively participate in the commercial playbook process by supporting the development of the Field Sales Strategy to implement Channel Category and Customers Plans.
- Analyse regional performance against sales and merchandising targets and establish plans with the Regional Sales Management team to develop plans to address gaps.
- Develop positive, collaborative relationships with key customers as well as the Retail Operations Head Office team to facilitate the achievement of Nestlé objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with peers nationally to share best practices within Field Sales, Distributor Management while liaising with Marketing, Category and Shopper Development, Customer Teams and Supply Chain to drive regional Retail Sales related initiatives.
- Manage all assigned budgets within approved corporate guidelines.
- Adhere to all Company principles and policies including Nestlé trade policy, local Sales policy, local Trade Terms, Safety and legal regulations.
- Evaluate sales personnel performance (through regular in-field work and analysis of KPI's) against assigned targets and established performance standards and develop action plans to address any identified gaps.
Role Requirements:
As the successful candidate, you will be pivotal in leading and motivating the Retail Sales team to succeed in the market. You must be passionate, tenacious, and results-oriented, thriving in a dynamic environment. Strong leadership skills, organization, proactivity, and enthusiasm are essential, along with the ability to build strong customer relationships and understand retail sales and the competitive landscape.
- 5+ years in progressive sales roles with at least 3 years of experience with Direct People leadership responsibilities.
- Valid full driver’s license and safe driving record is required. Open to travel approximately 25% of the time (mainly in Western Canada) within the assigned territory.
- Post secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce or related field
- Proven experience and capability to coach people and develop great teams.
- Be passionate about spending time in stores in field with your team.
- Have the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders from various backgrounds and work collaboratively on multiple projects.
- Be able to showcase excellent communication and project management skills.
- Passionate to build and grow brands, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
