Position Summary

HR Strategic Business Partner and support to exempt/nonexempt employees, and ensures the execution of HR strategies, organizational design, and service value chain methodologies within Nestlé.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Manage the execution of people strategies that attract, train, and retain employees to meet short/long-term business goals.
  • Lead Nestlé Management and Leadership Principles, Organizational Alignment, and NiM initiatives.
  • Manage the recruitment, employee development, employee/labor relations, policy/contract interpretation, compensation administration and company/legal compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with management to create working environments that are diverse, empowering, and equitable along with a culture that magnifies optimism, synergy, and brand inspiration through HR scorecard data analysis, “Nestlé and I” surveys and exit/stay interviews.
  • Assist management and team leaders in performance improvement and talent/performance calibration processes (rewards/talent development) and relevant communications.
  • Design metrics and KPIs to measure business performance and analyze data/intel skillfully to ensure alignment with NCE/TPM initiatives/goals to increase employee competencies and improve plant performance.
  • Experience in performance management/people development, organizational design/restructure, project management, labor negotiations/union contract management mediation/arbitration/grievance processes, and employee relations/coaching.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Communication, or Industrial Psychology or a related field. Master’s degree.
  • Minimum five years of experience as a HR Generalist at a manufacturing plant or distribution center environment 
  • Minimum of three years of experience as Human Resources Manager preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR through HRCI/SHRM certification preferred.
  • Experience in Total Performance Management (TPM) implementation.
  • Experience in labor-management relations, workplace investigations, and managing mediation, arbitration, and/or grievance processes preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Federal/State employment laws (e.g., EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, Unemployment Insurance Administration, and Worker’s Compensation).
  • Computer and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and HRIS systems. PeopleSoft or  (SAP), SuccessFactors and Kronos preferred. 
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

  • Understands and/or can learn the role and responsibilities of the position, including:
  • Superlative verbal and written communications with strengths in presentation/training.
  • Attention to details and an ability to explain complex HR principles/People philosophies clearly and concisely within multifaceted matrix environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize work and multi-task several projects, balance competing priorities; and quickly adjust to new situations, assignments, and meet deadlines within a fast-paced/vibrant environment.
  • Work well in teams with multifaceted skills/strengths and develop cross-functional networks with resources with an affinity for building trust relationships. 
  • Ability to identify, resolve abstract and complex problems; gather and analyze data skillfully; and meet challenges with resourcefulness in decision-making.
  • Ability to connect at various levels within the organization from frontline employees up to Senior Management
