Position Summary:

 

As the Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will be a vital contributor to our organization’s financial integrity and operational efficiency. In this impactful role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices, playing a key part in maintaining compliance with our financial policies.

 

Your responsibilities will include auditing accessorial requests and collaborating closely with transportation and procurement teams to streamline processes and resolve disputes. By supporting month-end closing activities, you will help provide critical insights that drive informed decision-making and enhance our financial performance.

This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate’s geographic location. Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, New Jersey/Tri-State area, Chicago, Illinois, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and/or within the Long Island, New York areas. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the invoice processing workflow, including data entry, coding, and approval routing 
  • Collaborate with transportation and procurement teams to resolve discrepancies and disputes 
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner 
  • Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions
  • Process Weekly Payment groups via ACH, Checks and Wires 
  • Process monthly credit card transactions using Concur 
  • Process monthly commissions using PowerBI 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounts payable policies and procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices 
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel 
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle  
  • Experience with Concur or Esker 

 

Skills:

 

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially                    
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment  

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $48,000- $58,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
