Position Summary

The Creative Design Lead will lead a group of graphic designers to deliver best-in-class digital creative across all our digital channels for the Nestle Health Science brands. This individual will be part of the in-house Content Studio team, responsible for 100% of digital content for our brands. As a Creative Design Lead, you will help build brands through creative storytelling whilst adhering to the brand design principles to ensure consistency and one experience across all channels. You will play a key role in developing the creative concept and manage/supervise the execution of all creative deliverables from briefing to delivery. You will often be required to create layouts and storyboards to illustrate their design ideas and sell the creative vision to other members of the extended marketing team.Finally, you will help bring best-in-class design practices and systems to playbooks and templates for real time application. You will have deep working knowledge of interactive and digital media spaces and have advanced skills in design, to ultimately create effective and inspiring creative work for a world-class digital experience.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead the Design Team
    • Supervise and coach the graphic designers on design best practices throughout the creative production process
    • Manage creative backlog, prioritizing and distributing tasks among design team
    • Act as a leader, a mentor and a coach to each designer, displaying superior leadership skills to keep the team engaged
  • Design and Production 
    • Direct and supervise creative from concept through production, including client and legal reviews
    • Interpret briefs and brand objectives to tell the brand story and deliver on creative excellence
    • Work quickly and balance between immediate needs and longer deadlines 
  • Project Management & Team Collaboration:
    • Act as a key stakeholder in maintaining the Content Calendar, that captures the creative needs across all brands by month
    • Understand weekly, monthly and yearly priorities and help the team achieve the production goals for all brands
    • Responsible for uploading content into a digital asset management tool

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 10+ years experience delivering creative work across a variety of digital touch points, from mobile to desktop and from social to responsive e-commerce
  • Proven understanding and skills in creative storytelling, art direction, user experience, motion, and marketing - from launch campaigns to performance marketing
  • Experience balancing strategy and design, always advocating for the end-user
  • Experience leading and managing both in-house and/or external teams. Experience providing clear creative direction, career path guidance and timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes to keep work on budget and schedule
  • Experience as a collaborator - willing to shape ideas as well as build on the ideas of others
  • Presentation skills and communication experience with all levels of an organization, both internal and client-facing
  • University degree or equivalent. Specifically, a BA/BFA in Design, Design Communication, Fine Arts Preferred
  • Expertise of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
