Position Summary


The Finance Manager will be responsible for driving ambitious, profitable growth acceleration within the Consumer Care division. This role will direct a collaborative financial and operational planning processes, creating high-impact programs, reducing expenses, and partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive strong ROI on investments. This role will also manage various monthly activities that would include providing strategic direction and partnership to our Consumer Care team, with a focus on top line growth, optimizing Trade/Coupons/PFME/COGS, coordinating month-end close and a dynamic forecasting process.  This would also include updating teams on actual spend vs budget, MC/cost analysis, and early detection of deviation in actuals versus a plan on different areas of the P&L.  
 

The Finance Manager will also provide support to other business functions to provide a timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis. This will be inclusive of analyzing the profitability of financial plans throughout the annual planning cycle, forecast submissions, marketing spends, and innovations/renovation projects.  Finally, this position will also provide a clear and effective reporting of financial results, while focusing in on business optimization and process improvement. 
 

Responsibilities: 
 

•    Provide finance support for the product innovation/renovation (I2L) projects, by working with a project lead on P&L scenarios (volume, pricing, COGS, other costs) and on benchmarking against financial hurdles.  
•    Trade/Coupons/Product Fixed Marketing Spend (PFME) budget management through continuous interactions with the Sales and Marketing teams; This includes reviewing available funds, monthly phasing for forecasting accuracy and validating/approving budget changes. 
•    Closely working with both the Finance Operations and Supply Chain teams to optimize VDE/COGS and other operational cost.
•    Support and ensure accurate monthly P&L forecasts through active participation in the monthly business planning meetings, trade, and inputting forecasts into Dodeca for reporting. 
•    Provide strategic direction to cross functional teams to drive the right MC/product mix.
•    Manage all period-end close through journal entry postings, analysis, creating financial reports, and assisting with creating presentations to support the business needs.
•    Continually evaluate and challenge processes and reporting practices and implementing changes. 
 

Requirements: 
 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or in a related field; MBA (Finance) is a plus. 
•    3+ years of relevant work experience, working within Finance in a planning and reporting role. 
•    Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook/Access) and SAP experience. 
•    Must have excellent analytical skills, as well as strong teamwork and communication skills.   
•    Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
