The HR Generalist provides a broad range of expert services: recruitment and succession planning; employee development and training; employee relations; employment law and policy interpretation, compensation and classification management; benefits administration and employee rewards/recognition; and regulatory compliance guidance and HR reporting.

  

 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:  

 

  • Aid in execution of the Nestlé People Strategy processes that attract, develop, recognize, and retain employees to support the organization's short- and long-term strategic business needs.
  • Serve as liaison between employees and management by providing tools, coaching and feedback to foster a culture & working environment that is open, empowering, fair, and equitable for all.
  • Assist in the execution and continuous improvement of HR initiatives and processes, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, or automate workflows using available digital tools in partnership with HR Operations. Are included in HR processes: performance & talent management, learning & development, retention, employee development, annual salary review, etc.
  • Collaborate with talent management teams in recruitment, new hire processing, posts announcements, job descriptions, diversity recruitment strategies, interviewing candidates and other related tasks for exempt and non-exempt positions. 
  • On Training initiatives:
    • Assist the HR Manager to implement local Learning & Development plan, support and promote digital learning initiatives (e.g., digital upskilling day), while actively maintaining personal digital proficiency to effectively leverage HR technologies and tools
    • Deploy learning local campaigns to raise awareness and encourage participation in learning programs​ & nominations based programs (Global Rive Reine and US programs)
    • Ensure fundamental and mandatory training compliance for the NPTC through Learning & Development Platform to meet ISO standards for R&D
  • Partner with HR Operations to ensure HR systems reflect accurate employee data while maintaining data privacy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable data governance standards.
  • Manage special projects related to workforce management and strategic planning, including analyzing people data and generating insights to support informed business decisions using available HR systems and digital tools.
  • Perform planned/impromptu investigations and audits to ensure and/or maintain site certification, EEO/AA/OFCC, Federal/State employment law compliance in practice as it related to working conditions, hiring, training, transfers, or promotions of people assets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  

 

Requirements:  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree. Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Development, Communication, or Industrial Psychology preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a HR Generalist or equivalent HR experience.
  • Human Resources experience with relevant business operations/employee functions preferred.
  • Experience in Leveling & Compensation, Benefits Administration, and Recruitment.
  • Project Management experience (e.g., implementing change management projects, new services or employee benefits concepts with agile methodologies and problem-solving techniques). 
  • Proficient in digital tools and HR systems (e.g., SAP), with the ability to effectively navigate, utilize, and support adoption of HR technologies to improve processes and user experience
  • Thorough understanding of Federal/State employment laws (e.g., EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA,Unemployment Insurance Administration, and Worker’s Compensation).
  • Experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, and managing mediation and/or complaints.  

 

 

Skills:

 

  • Strong analytical skills (e.g., an ability to identify, collect, organize, and assimilate data to resolve complex issues involving people assets).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with comfort delivering presentations and engaging audiences.
  • A well cultivated conceptual thinker that raises vital questions, anticipate problems, and gathers relevant information for resolution.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize work and multi-task several projects, simultaneously; and quickly adjust to new situations, assignments, and deadlines in a fast-paced Environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g., flexible in collaborations, relationship management) with an affinity for building a consensus in decision-making.
  • Conscientious with a meticulous attention to details and an ability to explain complex HR matters clearly and concisely, skillfully, and with resolute in problem-solving.

 

 

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
