JOB SUMMARY
Customer Supply Chain Lead – Medical Nutrition (MN) is the primary point of contact between the supply chain and commercial teams and is responsible for providing front line supply chain support to the commercial team. This role is responsible for ensuring customers and sales are supported by the supply chain organization and works to ensure KPIs are met such as on time delivery and fill rates. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and supply chain performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide supply chain focused support and communication to the MN commercial and financial teams. Coordinate and drive cross-functional solutions with other supply chain teams (warehousing, transportation, customer service) to support commercial issues, inquiries, and projects
- Develop monthly sales forecasts based on commercial pipeline and current operational constraints
- Act as key supply chain contact for the commercial and sales organizations to track order statuses and resolve issues between supply chain functions and customers for the MN business
- Create customer specific scorecards for major accounts and hold review meetings with customers to track KPI status and identify areas of improvement between organizations
- Develop and Execute Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting tasks to provide visibility and status to the MN business and supply chain organizations example reporting includes monthly supply chain summary, daily open order analysis, weekly shipping, monthly CPU reports, and others as needed.
- Measure and improve order lead times for key accounts by identifying bottlenecks or issues in the process and then working across teams (warehousing, transportation, customer service, sales, fulfillment, IT) to implement solutions to minimize overall lead times.
- Work closely with warehousing to ensure sufficient capacity exists for forecasted sales demand and all upcoming commercial needs will be met
- Work closely with transportation to ensure needs are being met and future sales plans are taken into consideration
- Act as back up for 3PL management team in cases where support for MN is specifically required
- Identify, manage, and implement cost savings / efficiency improvement projects to benefit NHS and customers
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelors of Science in supply chain, engineering, or related area
- 5-7 years of supply chain experience
- Deep Supply Chain management expertise required (order management, planning, transportation and warehousing)
- SAP and BI experience preferred
- Analytic skills and expertise with Excel
- CPG industry experience
- Experience working with 3PLs and other vendors/service providers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
