POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Manager, Finance Co-Pilot will collaborate with the Finance Head of the Nestlé Product Technology Center (NPTC) for Nestlé Health Science (NHSc) to establish and manage global project-specific budgets. This role will oversee cost allocation across NHSc categories, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting while facilitating the budget process. Key responsibilities include analyzing actual spending versus budget, enhancing monitoring and reporting efficiency in collaboration with Portfolio Management and NHSc businesses, and providing timely financial insights to the NPTC Leadership Team to track R&D objectives and portfolio performance.

 

This position will significantly enhance financial oversight, improve decision-making, and streamline processes across NHSc by fostering collaboration with other Finance teams. Additionally, leading the knowledge management process will ensure compliance and effective document management, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function. Ultimately, this role is vital for driving financial accountability and supporting the strategic goals of NHSc's R&D initiatives.

 

This is a hybrid role requiring 50% on-site work in our Bridgewater, NJ headquarters.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Collaborate with NPTC NHSc Finance Head to establish and control Project budget for NPTC NHSc, maintaining accurate reporting within NHSc NPTC Leadership team and across categories by leveraging I2L (Resource Planning) data analysis and reporting (including PCA in Management Letter)
  • Obtain and deliver insights to NPTC Leadership Team, and NHSc Business Co-Pilots regarding I&R Financials and R&D Costs towards Business P&L (iNNS, OGC, %CMC, %COP1), to understand Return of Investment (ROI) and how accretive/dilutive the portfolio is
  • Prepare and circulate R&D Cost Report by Category (or any other criteria) including R&D Intensity
  • Provide Finance Monitoring and reporting of Idea Generation, Knowledge, and R&D Support project types
  • Provide communication of budgeting cycle for quarter-end and preliminary next-year budget regarding Project Specific costs
  • Lead R&D Times structure for the NHSc R&D Organization in all its locations, including non-SAP environment and enable data for internal/external audits
  • On a monthly basis, prepare Finance review meeting with the different R&D Leaders

 

Knowledge Management

  • Lead a cross-functional team to establish and drive Knowledge Management at NPTC NHSc
  • Provide efficient process and tools to easily document new knowledge in a way that enables others to quickly retrieve and use it
  • Provide guidance on required project documentation and storage requirements
  • Establish and drive monitoring procedure to ensure that all work completed is documented in a proper way and stored adequately
  • Implement internal control scheme for knowledge access and sharing
  • Leverage Digital solutions to enhance Knowledge Management within NPTC NHSc
  • Support efficient job/position handover and ensure tacit position/job knowledge is not lost with knowledge maps
  • Provide Training and Coaching on knowledge management
  • Validates compliance with documentation and information management standards

 

Transversal

  • Conduct ongoing support to the Finance Head, track relevant information, deliver on ad-hoc requests and create appropriate analysis
  • Adhere to auditable processes, GLA (Global License Agreement) and compliance

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting , or comparable with MBA a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience in planning and reporting 
  • Background in consumer products, manufacturing environment a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Experience using SAP
  • Knowledge of AI tools (Co-Pilot, etc.) strongly preferred

The approximate pay range for this position is $120,000- $130,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
