POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis supports the Pharma Division's FP&A function by implementing new ways of working, financial models, and tools. They collaborate with various Finance Functions and oversee all financial processes, including Monthly Business Planning, Dynamic Forecast, Market Business Strategy, Annual Budgeting, and landing calls. They also contribute to Innovation/Renovation product reviews, SKU rationalization, and the creation of leadership presentations.
As a central point of contact, the FP&A team works closely with co-pilots, the corporate finance function, and Pharma leadership to provide timely and high-quality analytics, explanations, coordination, and collaboration.
Working in close partnership with the Head of Finance for Pharma, this role plays a critical part in managing financial risks and opportunities to ensure the Division achieves its high performance targets.
This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate’s geographic location. Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, New Jersey/Tri-State area, Chicago, Illinois, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and/or within the Long Island, New York areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Coordinate, prepare and review all financial reporting for Division Management & Corporate Finance
- Provide financial reporting and measurements to cross-functional teams to support business decisions
- Provide executive summary detailing results, trends, variances, risks, and opportunities
- Partner with functional teams to generate insights and influence business results
- Support period end close reporting and analytics, communicate results of monthly close to divisional management with appropriate explanation
- Support the Controllership team with Period End close activities (SACT, PACT, Reconciliation, variance analysis)
Management Support/Business Transformation:
- Support Co-pilots on training/loading/reporting for the Demand Forecast (DF)
- Ensure financial and operational readiness for consolidation, management reporting
- Ensure the accuracy of Demand Forecast data and manage the Monthly DF calendar, including the coordination of key submissions and deadlines for various reports and reviews
- Partner with Cross functional teams to support the MBP process
- Support MBP financial reporting tools and capabilities to ensure accurate and timely DF
- Support Financial reporting for the full Pharma portfolio
- Support decision making and accountability to achieve financial targets. Partner and educate on Value Creation
- Provide appropriate analysis of plans and forecasts to support sales, marketing, and operational activities
- Support all Pharma Dynamic Forecast needs, MBR Pharma financial requests
- Drive core divisional processes (MBS, ICP, I2L, SKU Rationalization, OP) including coordinating with Corporate, Functional, Brand Co-pilots, and Pharma Leadership
- Support the development of financials and operational processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function within the division
- Prepare variance analysis to budget and forecasts
- Special projects and cross functional/divisional team participant, both within and outside of Pharma, as requested
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS with major in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting/Finance
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (US GAAP) or International Accounting Standards (IAS)
- Knowledge of financial statements, including Profit & Loss, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Knowledge of Financial concepts & principles including cash flow, NPV, IRR, ROI, Economic Profit, etc.
- Computer skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in MS Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to understand and communicate the drivers of product profit & loss
- Intermediate to advanced financial modeling skills
- Working knowledge of budget preparation and forecasting for cost centers / balance sheet accounts
- Knowledge of the principles of cost accounting and activity-based costing
- Pharma industry experience a plus!
- CPA, CMA, CFM, CCE, or MBA a plus!

The approximate pay range for this position is $115,000- $130,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
