Position Summary:
To be an integrated partner in strategic business decisions for the medical nutrition platforms and externally focused as a credible scientific partner with key stakeholders through:
• Creating and activating evidence to differentiate NHSc medical nutrition brands
• Translating science to educate internal and external stakeholders
• Engaging stakeholders to gain insights and shape the market       
 
Key Responsibilities:
Science Translation for Claims, Medical Communication & Information  
• Evaluate evidence and translate the science to support product and platform claims
• Provide clinical substantiation for all new product claims, partnering with external resources as needed.
• Create clinical / scientific messaging for activation across internal and external communication platforms 
• Develop, guide and write scientific publications and medical communications
• Proactively seek relevant evidence/ insights / facts by attending congresses, keeping abreast of the literature, and through patient and stakeholder engagement.

 

Medical Leadership: Assure NHSc leadership in the Medical Nutrition Healthcare & Scientific Community by
• Liaising / Partnering with external Stakeholders (SH) (e.g. KOLs, experts, Professional Societies and Patient Associations) to drive business strategy
• Sharing relevant insights within NHSc to inform development (I&R) and commercialization
• Shape local and national pathways, protocols and guidelines through education and research.

 

Clinical Expertise: Be an integral partner in strategic business decisions by providing clinical expertise
• Inform commercial strategy throughout product lifecycle to support adoption
• Provide medical and scientific expertise for assigned platforms
• Be a core partner in the I&R process to ensure patient needs and HCP expectations are met

 

Evidence Generation: Assess, guide and assure the delivery of evidence to support NHSc assets
• Engage with cross functional business partners to identify overall evidence generation needs for the business and assess Real World Evidence (RWE) opportunities that meet patients and HCPs expectations
• Participate in RWE, such as observational studies, meta-analyses, systematic literature reviews, and quality improvement projects
• Lead claims generation and communication plan for evidence projects  

 

Medical Education: Deliver outstanding Medical Education
• Develop medical education internally and externally
• Organize scientific symposia at key conferences
• Train internal teams on in-depth clinical topics related to assigned platforms

 

Experience and Education Requirements:
• Professional credential in nutrition or clinical related field (RDN, RN, RPh, MD)
• Advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years combination of clinical (patient care) and industry experience 
• Expertise in nutrition support / enteral nutrition 
• Strong scientific background, proven clinical experience and good skills to translate from science to clinical development, registration and practice
• Understanding of the relationship between translating science and commercialization of products based on evidence
• Good understanding of the healthcare environment
• Influence without authority  
• Expertise in critical care nutrition 
• Research experience: experience designing & conducting studies; medical writing
• Publication in peer-reviewed journal
• Experience in education development and facilitation    #LI-SF1

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $110,000.00 to $140,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
