Position Summary:

 

The Material Recipe Management Specialist leads formulation and recipe management activities for Nestlé Ready-to-Drink (RTD) products, ensuring recipes, specifications, and product data are compliant, manufacturable, and accurately maintained throughout the product lifecycle. This role supports successful product launches, regulatory compliance, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency by managing formulation data within SAP and driving the simplification and standardization of ingredients and recipes. The specialist partners closely with the Category Technical Applications Group (CTAG), Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, and Global Material & Recipe Management (MRM) teams to deliver scalable, compliant products that support business growth and operational excellence. 

 

 

 

Work Location: Remote (U.S.) with strong preference for candidates located near a Nestlé manufacturing facility or business location, including Eau Claire, WI; Franklin Park, IL; Bridgewater, NJ; or other Nestlé sites.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead factory-level Material & Recipe Management activities, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage product compliance across the lifecycle, including formulation development, recipe validation, technical acceptance, and specification creation
  • Monitor compliance KPIs, commercial product compliance, and global targets; drive corrective actions for identified gaps
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve recipe, ingredient, raw material, and product specifications within SAP RM
  • Develop and maintain site recipes, processing parameters, stability loss profiles, and BOM alignment
  • Review product performance following trials and commercialization, implementing recipe and specification updates as needed
  • Support new product launches, scale-ups, and formulation transfers through effective recipe management and system implementation
  • Ensure data integrity, approval workflow compliance, and adherence to change management processes across recipe management systems
  • Serve as the factory subject matter expert for recipe, ingredient, and product compliance, providing guidance on regulatory, nutritional, safety, and quality requirements
  • Train and support users on Material & Recipe Management tools, including Formul@1, SAP RM, CAT, and DevEx
  • Partner with the Category Technical Applications Group (CTAG), Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Global Material & Recipe Management (MRM) teams to drive continuous improvement and business support initiatives

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • 3+ years of experience in a regulated industry (food, pharmaceuticals, supplements, infant formula, pet food, or related)
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and applicable food safety and quality regulations (21 CFR)
  • Understanding of ingredient functionality, formulation development, and food manufacturing processes
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams; cross-market experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP, formulation management systems, specification management systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Previous product development or formulation experience preferred

The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000- $90,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
