Position Summary
Position Summary:
A day in a life of a Powder Scientist at Nestle Health Science:
• Manage discovery projects on powder science and present outcomes to key stakeholders in the business and R&D units
• Translate state of the art powder science into discoveries, new food and supplement formats, and product concepts in line with consumer trends
• Apply, develop and leverage knowledge in powder science to support product development and manufacturing excellence (from bench to factory scale)
• Work as part of a large cross functional team and across different Nestlé R&D locations
• Work in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
• Coach students and interns to accelerate innovation projects
What makes you successful:
• PhD in Powder science or Food Materials science
• 3-5 years of experience in Food or pharma industry - experience in powder stability & flowability, sorption isotherms, powder dissolution, dry mixing properties, homogeneity, predictive models of powder behavior in food and supplements (pills, tablets, effervescent tablets..)
• Ability to work autonomously with a strong team spirit
• Flexible, open-minded, problem solving mindset and passion for innovation
• Must be strong in design of experience, statistics/modeling and data analysis (data science)
• R Programming experience preferred
