The Senior Analyst Market & Brand Analytics works with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, eCommerce, and IT, as well as external data providers to support data management and governance. This role supports category and brand-level decision-making through analytics insights. This role is responsible for integrating and optimizing external data sources, and supports the design, development, and delivery of corporate reports, tools and dashboards to ensure they remain accurate, timely, and relevant.
This position requires a proactive, technically skilled business partner with strong category and data expertise, capable of translating complex data into clear, actionable reporting insights and strategic recommendations that support decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Analytics & Reporting
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights to support business growth.
- Translate complex data into clear narratives, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for stakeholders.
- Independently scope and prioritize analytics requests based on business needs
Data Management & Governance
- Execute and continuously improve data governance processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across custom databases.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to manage data quality, standardization, and integration.
Data Integration & Transformation
- Support the integration and harmonization of data from multiple sources (e.g., Circana, NIQ, SPINS, Stackline, POS) to create unified, omni-channel datasets.
- Leverage advanced tools (Advanced Power BI or Tableau, Advanced Excel, Power Query, Database querying tools such as SQL) to automate and optimize data workflows.
Business & Category Expertise
- Develop and maintain deep understanding of category dynamics, product attribution, and hierarchy structures to ensure accurate reporting and insights.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for key data sources and methodologies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, eCommerce, IT, and other stakeholders to align data, improve processes, and drive automation initiatives.
- Support evolving analytics and reporting needs across the organization.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities, streamline processes, and advance analytics maturity within the organization.
- Support additional analytics and reporting needs as required.
Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Management or a related field.
- 3+ years of client- or supplier-side CPG experience; nutritional supplement experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience in data management, dashboard development and process automation.
- Experience working with syndicated data sources, including Circana and/or NielsenIQ.
- Familiarity with e-commerce and digital sales data is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Comfortable working through complexity and ambiguity in both data and business context.
Preferred Skills
- Database querying tools such as SQL, experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools such as Tableau, and advanced proficiency in Excel, including Power Query;
- Experience leveraging emerging AI tools to enhance data analysis and reporting efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex analyses and translate into actionable insights.
- Effective communication and presentation skills; capable of conveying complex information clearly and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset.
The approximate pay range for this position is $53,000- $63,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
