Position Summary:
Lead a global team of nutritionists, dietitians, and medical doctors supporting Innovation and Renovation initiatives across Consumer Care and Medical Nutrition. The team is responsible for delivering nutritional profiles (Val 1 & Val 2), supporting claims dossiers, and contributing to GVPD processes; translating scientific dossiers on ingredients, nutritional solutions, and technologies into compelling and differentiated business opportunities, and presenting concept pitches to key stakeholders including Category Leads, S&T Lead, NPTC Head, and Global Category Managers; and championing Nutrition, Health & Wellness (NHW) within NHSc while        
 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Innovation and Renovation Pipeline:
Lead, develop and coach a team of nutritionists, dieticians & MD supporting Medical Nutrition & Consumer Care categories. Identify, select and pitch new nutritional solutions addressing consumers and patients' needs. Coach the team to deliver on I&R projects on time (Nutritional profiles for Cat1, Cat2 & accelerator projects; support to claim dossiers and GVPD for Cat2 projects)

 

Stakeholder Management: 
Understand the nutritional needs of the different categories, manage deliverables according to project timelines, pitch nutritional solutions to Global R&D leads & Global category managers. Represent NHSc at corporate level for NF, Good foundation, Good Labels and Good for You initiatives : Define strategies and rationale for NHSc and communicate across the organization.   

 

People and Knowhow:
Deep knowledge on nutrition and clinical trial design. Broad understanding of human physiology and public health. Lead, coach and mentor NHSc nutritionists & dieticians supporting Medical Nutrition & Consumer Care categories. Understand the key priorities for the categories and create an environment for the team members to deliver against the set goals. Engage with NHSc chef & prototype to quickly assess the potential of new ingredients. Connect with the Accelerator team to leverage capabilities and accelerate learnings on new ingredients (Ax projects, Storytelling). Liaise with external alliances to leverage the full potential of external partners/suppliers.   


Experience and Education Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience in Food or Food supplements - experience in R&D and management
• PhD in Nutrition or related fields
• Experience in scientific affairs, clinical trial set up and ingredient substantiation

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $165,000.00 to $185,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
