Position Summary:

 

The Sr Manager, Case Management Vendor Oversight is responsible for developing and maintaining all aspects of Case Management Vendor Oversight to ensure excellent service delivery and alignment with GPSRM (Global Patient Safety and Risk Management) business needs. Reporting to the Head, Global Patient Safety Operations, they contribute to the development and implementation of processes and procedures for pharmacovigilance and safety operations. They also ensure successful governance of key vendors to comply with global and local regulatory requirements. This position will specifically support the pharmaceutical products developed and/or marketed by Nestle Health Science.  This position will either be a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate's geographic location.  Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, New Jersey/Tri-State area, Chicago, Illinois, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and/or within the Long Island, New York areas.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Support oversight planning and implementation for key outsourced safety activities for GPSRM (including Case Management & Aggregate Reporting)
  • Liaise with GPSRM colleagues and key stakeholders across the business to identify and anticipate new activities impacting vendor service provision
  • Support contract negotiation and the establishment of contract parameters including key metrics and KPIs
  • Establish and maintain processes and procedures governing Safety Operations, within the PV Quality Management System, and provide support for GPSRM colleagues in managing the QMS
  • Liaise with legal and finance teams to facilitate streamlined vendor onboarding
  • Manage case management vendor and monitor operational performance by ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness of work delivered under outsourced contracts
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and processes with the vendor(s)
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and coordinate inspection readiness of outsourced pharmacovigilance (PV) activities
  • Implement program governance structure to ensure that vendor(s) align(s) with organizational and GPSRM vision, and that their outputs directly support the ongoing assurance of the safety profile of Nestle Health Science pharmaceutical products
  • Participate in the development of GPSRM Case Management Vendor Oversight objectives and plans as part of the overall GPSRM process strategy and operational plans
  • Liaise with corporate stakeholders to ensure business needs are met and anticipate future business needs
  • Act as the Case Management Vendor liaison and relationship manager to ensure successful execution of GPSRM process, vision, mission, objectives, and plans
  • Work with Head, Global Safety Operations to support the successful tactical implementation of annual GPSRM strategic goals and objectives
  • Manages external vendor resources for case management activities and coordinates daily NHSc oversight, without direct personnel management
  • Actively track spend against the Operations vendor budget and report progress to GPSRM management with proposed solutions to monitor expenditures

 

 


Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with advanced professional degree preferred
  • 10 years relevant experience in pharmacovigilance operations or combined PV/RA/QA, and/or clinical development
  • Extensive experience working with CROs, vendors, and relationship management, particularly in the PV space
  • Experience supporting negotiations and managing outsourcing relationships
  • Solid experience in establishing and maintaining (GxP) Quality Management Systems for clinical safety and pharmacovigilance processes
  • Audit and inspection support experience for PV and PV-related inspections and audits
  • In-depth understanding of safety regulations for both marketed and investigational products, and excellent knowledge of global health authority requirements including ICH, CFR 21, FDAAA, EU GVP module
  • Experience in planning, allocating and managing multiple projects in a heavily matrixed and/or cross-functional environment
  • Proven experience in quality and process improvement for case management and related activities

 

 

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $147,000- $178,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
