Position Summary:
Guardian of Quality and Compliance by Design following the quality requirements and deliverables for Idea to Launch (I2L) and Nestlé Management System (NMS) for Nestlé Product Technology Center (NPTC) Bridgewater led Innovation/Renovation projects. This position is the quality representative for CAT 1 and 2 projects as assigned and responsible for the creation pHACCPs and rMMS (Quality monitoring piece) for new products/technology development in order to ensure full compliance to Quality, Food Safety and Regulatory requirements. It will also provide technical assistance to Nestle Health Science factories and Application Groups regarding Quality topics as required.
Additional responsibilities are to support the Nestle Management System by being part of the Internal Audit Team, support Pilot Plant HACCP team and promote continuous improvement in the NPTC.
Key Responsibilities:
People and Know-How:
• Promotes quality and food safety awareness in the NPTC. Contributes to competence development of quality professionals across the organization by providing training and awareness related to Nestle Standards, NPTC Quality processes and GMPs.
Quality Mastership:
• Project team member engaged in NPTC Innovation / Renovation projects assuring Quality function I2L deliverables throughout project stages.
• Perform Food Safety Assessments and develops pHACCP and rMMS new product/technology projects, including support to factories for implementation
• Ensures Quality and Food Safety technical knowledge transfer to operations through engagement, training and handover of projects. Provides training to all functions which need to have an insight into quality and safety, and which need to implement quality and safety in their own job deliverables.
• Ensures full compliance to Nestlé Standards and Regulatory requirements.
Experience and Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred food science related)
• 5+ years of experience in food industry in quality, R&D or manufacturing areas
• ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 certification is preferred
• Ingredient specifications experience
• Experience with quality by design
SKILLS;
• Participation in new product development project teams
• Participating in audit teams and/or improvement projects with more senior staff members
• Establishing networks of peers, in markets or factories
