Job Description:
The Trade & Pricing Manager (Market Access – Pharmaceuticals) at Nestle Health Science USA will oversee trade relations and pricing for the company's product portfolio. This role will provide strategic guidance and access expertise to various customer segments, focusing on the distribution network. The role will also be responsible for managing 3PL, distributor, and pharmacy strategies, addressing complex field access challenges, leading national initiatives and enhancing data platforms.
The Trade & Pricing Manager is also responsible for collaborating with our Sales force and the Market Access team to develop and make recommendations on pricing initiatives along with monitoring and compliance with Government pricing at the State and Federal level. Finally, this position is an individual contributor role and will also partner with cross-functional partners, including Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Compliance, Sales, and Marketing. This position will be either a hybrid or remote role based on the selected candidate’s geographic location. Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
Manage Relationships with Key Distribution Partners and Stakeholders
• Oversee relationships with wholesalers, specialty distributors, and specialty pharmacies.
• Lead regular business reviews and ensure KPIs and service level agreements are met.
Monitor and Adjust Inventory Levels
• Maintain proper inventory levels and address pharmacy omits by monitoring and adjusting daily inventory levels with distribution partners.
Reporting and Finance Coordination
• Report customer orders to finance on a weekly basis and adjust wholesaler orders if expectations are not met.
• Oversee the EDI process (844/852/867) from wholesaler setup to internal reporting.
Government Pricing and Compliance
• Develop and update Government Pricing SOP
• Collaborate with the supply chain team on 3PL wholesaler/customer accounts, including account setup, weekly order, and invoicing.
• Partner with finance to review chargebacks for eligibility and accuracy in accordance with contract terms. Ensure compliance with DSCSA regulations.
Contracting and Pricing
• Partner with the Director, Trade, Pricing and Payer Marketing and Associate Director, Pricing and Contracting on deal modeling for customer contracts and reporting.
• Coordinate weekly contracting meetings with business partners and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly pricing calculations.
• Monitor state and federal government transparency requirements.
• Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by the Director of Market Access.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies or in a related field required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of professional work experience working in Market Access Operations within a Pharmaceutical and/or Biopharma organization required.
• Must possess an understanding of pharmaceutical industry pricing structures and government pricing regulations and reporting requirements.
• Experience in day-to-day management of Distribution Partners and 3PL Management required.
• Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Outlook/PowerPoint) especially in MS Excel (Pivot Tables/Charts/Graphs/Tables/Formulas) required.
• Must have excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, organizational and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships).
• Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Must be a creative and effective problem solver and detail-oriented.
• Demonstrated proficiency in EDI844/852/867 and other inventory reporting/systems required.
• Must be team-oriented and possess strong Project Management skills.
• Ability to influence and lead across functions in a matrix environment.
• Willing and able to travel up to 20% based on the needs of the team and the business required.
The approximate pay range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
