New Product Planning Portfolio Strategy Lead - Pharma (Remote US)

Position Summary

Summary: 

Responsible for leading the planning, implementation and management of commercial strategy for the new product pipeline from pre-clinical product concept through human POC and path to NDA/launch. Key presenter of the deliverables, including insights and recommendations. The role is critical to Aimmune’s successful achievement of corporate growth goals, and will enable robust portfolio planning, and decision‐making of program teams and governance committees for new products and pipeline assets. Most significantly, this individual will be a key member of Aimmune’s strategy team, helping to define Aimmune’s long-term organic and inorganic growth strategies.

Specific Responsibilities:
•    Support the Strategy team leaders in the development and articulation of the company’s strategic plan
•    Business case development for new growth initiatives and implementing processes that improve organizational and financial effectiveness and build a sustainable competitive advantage 
•    Drive the incubation phase of new business initiatives and launches, ensuring accountability throughout the organization and successful project implementation
•    Conduct regular analysis of industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and portfolio performance
•    Drive commercial assessment process for external asset opportunities
•    Partner with cross-functional team members to conduct an in-depth review of unmet needs for disease areas under consideration, treatment pathway(s), market size, competitive and payer landscapes
•    Synthesize key insights and conclusions to Senior Leadership Team.
•    Portfolio Strategy representative on multiple program strategies 
•    Support business case development by working with corporate strategy/business development

Qualifications / Requirements:
•    BA/BS in a scientific, engineering, financial, business or other relevant field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.  PhD or MBA preferred.
•    Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business strategy, portfolio planning and product planning
•    Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotech landscape, R&D trends, decision analysis, business strategy and markets in major disease areas
•    Experience influencing senior leaders and teams through communication and facilitation skills
•    Significant experience in strategic roles in a pharma/biotech or consulting
•    Proven ability to lead a matrixed cross functional team consisting of representatives from Commercial, R&D and G&A
•    Strong analytic skills, including quantitative modeling and complex problem-solving ability
•    Proven ability framing and solving complex problem and the analytical ability to interpret and communicate them effectively
•    Strong organizational and communication skills including experience presenting to an executive audience
•    Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with key stakeholders, develop and build strong working relationships
