POSITION SUMMARY

Based at our Broadford factory we have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join the Team. As a dynamic and dedicated Health and Safety professional, you will be required to drive site compliance and safety & health activities.

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

Reporting to the SHE Manager, you will be part of a collaborative team passionate about ensuring a strong safety culture in our Broadford site. As a dynamic and dedicated Health and Safety professional, you will be required to drive safety & health activities. Workcover Claims Management & Return to Work Coordination. Key responsibilities are:
• Workcover Claims Management & Return to Work Coordination
• Coordinate the Early Intervention Program
• Health Monitoring & Hygiene Coordination (eg audiometric testing, noise testing)
• Safety Improvement Initiatives and Reporting (including incident analysis, risk reduction activities, first aid services coordination and monitoring close out of corrective actions)
• Lead and support implementation of SHE projects and initiatives as required
 

ARE YOU A FIT?

You will have a strong demonstrated experience in Victorian Workcover, and Return to Work management. A strong negotiator, you strive to strengthen the site safety culture and fostering preventative and proactive safety performance. In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have:
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with Work Cover VIC and Return to Work Coordination
• First Aid Certificate
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety within a manufacturing/site based environment or Allied Health will be favourably considered

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
