Production Operator

Production Operator

We currently have an opportunity for a permanent Production Operator on Afternoon  Shift at our Nestle Broadford Factory.

Responsibilities include maintaining product quality, achieving production targets and maintaining a high standard of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Main duties of the position:

  • Participate in safety programs including Shift Risk Prediction/Take 5, Workplace Safety Inspections, defect tagging and key standard routines
  • Follow workplace quality assurance procedures and techniques
  • Complete standard practices/procedures of an operator
  • Share learnings and adopt procedural improvements to reduce/eliminate line loss
  • Complete SAP transactions / Digital Manufacturing Operations administration as required
  • Undertake improvement activities in the workplace as required
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic work area
  • Other duties as required by the Line Manager

 

The following qualities are considered desirable for this role:

  • Work safely and within the guidelines of site work instructions
  • Time management skills & the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision- flexibility to work overtime as required
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Effective workplace communication skills
  • Experience working in a team environment to meet the production schedule
  • Attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Basic knowledge of the use of email and ability to enter data

 As per the company’s policy on multi skilling, obtaining this position does not restrict or exclude the successful applicant from operating or being trained on other machinery as requested.
