An opportunity currently exists for a Project Engineer to join the Engineering team in our Broadford Factory. 


The Project Engineer will manage allocated feasibility study, concept, design, procurement, execution, reporting and monitoring elements of the project in Factory ensuring compliance of the technical, safety, quality, business and financial aspects of the engineering area including purchasing.


A day in the life…


Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working on capital investment solutions, some of your key responsibilities will include but not limited to: 


•    Perform preliminary analysis and design for projects including building, utilities, services, equipment, and layout; investigate, evaluate and report on alternative methods; develop justifications.
•    Manage projects implementation including fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, qualification verification, handover and contractor management. 
•    Ensure updating/creating of site technical drawings and documentation.
•    Ensure Process & Equipment safety for people, products and environment. 
•    Ensure that the Change Management is followed to appropriately manage modifications in the manufacturing facility. 
•    Ensure the application of the Nestlé and International Standards.
•    Select, qualify and coordinate contractors’ activities.
•    Analyse existing manufacturing processes, thorough root cause investigation, as well as development and implementation of machinery improvements.
•    Provide a high level of service to the plant through leadership of TPM methodology, advanced problem solving and implementation of machinery reliability improvements. 
•    Work closely with the Maintenance and Operating teams to develop and implement sustainable solutions to equipment reliability problems. 
•    Lead technical competence building methodology amongst the Engineering, Maintenance and Production teams.


What will make you successful


•    Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong team player with a drive to deliver quality outcomes. 
•    Tertiary study in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
•    Minimum 3 years Mechanical Engineering experience, preferably in a FMCG industry
•    Experience with engineering software and manual drawing and skills.. ie AutoCAD and MSP
•    Experience in Personnel Supervision of technical teams, contractors or other 3rd parties.
•    Self-management following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactively tracking them.
•    Exposure to TPM, Preventive Maintenance planning and/or maintenance execution.
•    Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams.
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills and a proven capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality.
