POSITION SUMMARY

Fantastic opportunity for a Shift Line Manager to join the Broadford Factory. If you are a natural leader with proven experience in people management, and a continuous improvement/LEAN mind-set with the capability to drive improvement through employee engagement and development.

A DAY IN THE LIFE...

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for driving optimal performance and promoting continuous improvement to ensure your production lines operate smoothly and successfully on night shift (nominally 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM). 
Supervising a team of 15 and the operation of multiple production lines, your responsibilities will include: 
•    Lead, coach and manage the team to excel in achieving line standards associated with production runs and the standard conditions & routines associated with Safety & the 4M's (Man, Machine, Method, Material).
•    Ensure continuous line controls & immediate corrective action (initiating problem solving as applicable).
•    Achieve a "zero injury, defect, waste" mind-set & promote behaviours that have a positive impact on Safety Health Environment & Quality. 
•    Promote and manage risk awareness by engaging and coaching the teams.
•    Lead implementation of SHE & QA objectives, practices and procedures.
•    Fostering Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) principles to build capability and improve your areas overall performance.

ARE YOU A FIT?
  • You will have excellent people management skills, with a continuous improvement mind set and demonstrable experience in leading and engaging a team to motivate and enhance performance.
  • You will not be afraid to give constructive feedback when necessary and will hold people accountable to the Nestle behavioural standards. You will also have a history of improving absenteeism and performance. 
  • Experience in a leadership role, preferably manufacturing / production environment  
  • Ideally FMCG industry production experience.
  • Relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of WHS standards and application 
  • You will demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis and decision-making abilities.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
