Position Summary
As a Corporate Communication and ESG Engagement Manager for Zone Europe, you drive and implement strategies in line with Nestlé’s regeneration pledge. Your role involves engaging EU stakeholders and crafting impactful and enabling strategies that help to advance Nestlé’s ESG objectives.
A day in the life of a Z-EUR Corporate Communications & ESG engagement Manager
- provide functional leadership on EU consumer and health policy;
- steer the Zone Europe ESG engagement network on strategic topics;
- drive and execute clear ESG advocacy strategies on strategic topics in close collaboration with businesses and Markets;
- provide guidance and support on policy implementation within the business;
- facilitate access for Nestlé projects in EU funding to advance our Net Zero Agenda;
- provide functional leadership on issues and crisis communication, and crisis management;
- represent Nestlé’s ESG priorities in key trade associations ;
- build a strong stakeholder network and relation with EU institutions, trade associations and NGOs, as well as other relevant Brussels-based stakeholders;
- foster collaboration with stakeholders and peer organizations for effective joint communication and action (e.g. European Commission, European Parliament, trade associations);
- organize activities and campaigns to promote Nestlé’s ESG agenda to external audiences.
What will make you successful
- Minimum 7 years of experience in public affairs, trade associations, or corporate communication;
- In-depth understanding of the food and drink sector and good understanding of current EU policies and priorities;
- Proven experience in Government Relations and Corporate Communications;
- Proven experience and understanding of the functioning of the EU and EU institutions.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and inspire collaboration;
- Experience in managing complex issues and projects;
- Advanced English proficiency and strong communication skills.
