Financial Planning Analyst, this is your challenge,
You will support the category F&C Business Partner and BEO in the delivery of DF proposal and P&L simulations based on actuals and trends analyses, for Category F&C Business Partner to operate the numbers and take decision. You will be part of a team of Analysts embracing usage of common tools (NFA , FIT) and deliverables, enabling aligned ways of working across Categories and Markets. Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A and having a dotted line to the Category F&C Business Partner, you will be part of the newly created FP&A team.
The Financial Planning Analyst responsibilities:
Category Financial Planning Performance:
- Understand all costs and topline components of the Category P&L.
- Conduct actuals and P&L trend analysis to support Category performance management.
- Prepare P&L simulation proposals for the Category within the Monthly Business Planning
- cycle, incorporating assumptions from relevant teams.
- Deliver proposals to the Category F&C Business Partner for validation and decision-making, including Risks & Opportunity proposal overview.
Product Portfolio Optimization and Innovation:
- Support the optimization of the product portfolio and innovation & renovation process from a financial perspective.
- Conduct financial analyses on SKU optimization, margin protection, new launches, and discontinuations (including stranded costs).
Resource Allocation and Spend Tracking:
- Ensure an efficient resource allocation process, particularly for PFME.
- Analyze and allocate resources based on portfolio strategy.
- Track spend in coordination with Brand Managers.
Volume and Pricing Analysis:
- Prepare quarterly volume and pricing phasing reviews.
- Run volume and selling price simulations to protect margins.
- Collaborate with Sales Controlling to propose recommendations to the F&C Business Partner.
Support to Category F&C Business Partner:
- Provide support to the Category F&C Business Partner in preparation for ad hoc activities, such as our Market business strategy.
Attend Key Meetings:
- Attend MBP key meetings of the Category to provide financial insights and contribute to decision-making
What are we looking for in our Financial Planning Analyst?
We are looking for a strong analytical and process-oriented person with good organizational skills. Accuracy, timeliness and strong prioritization skills are very important for the success in this role. A proactive attitude is essential, and you are also able to work under pressure and deliver the expected results during the regular peak periods. Because of your good communication skills, you easily work together with different people and teams within the organization.
• A master’s degree in finance.
• 2 to 5 year working experience, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Good knowledge of basic business processes (financial planning, reporting).
• Strong Excel skills are essential, experience with Power BI and Power query is preferable.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus (E2E processes).
• A professional level of English and preferrable Dutch
